Last week I was invited to the premiere of "This Darling Life".  It is an independant film written and directed by a long time friend of mine, Angie Chen. 

This may look like a film about animals. In fact it opened with Angie and her dog Baby strugging with old age and his inevitable exit.  But it's really about us humans and about love.  It's a documentary that has taken more than two years to shoot.  Hundreds of people have been interviewed and what is now included in the final cut is nine main stories.  This is a film that will move you to reflect, smile, laugh, cry, and... love. 

The sincerity and passion behind this project is refreshing and inspiring. I am really proud of Angie who finally realized her dream because I know she has had this dream for many years.  It is a labour of love, by many people, put together by Angie and her co-producer and partner Pam. 

A filmmaker interviewed said if you only watch 10 movies this year, this should be one of them.  It is on UA circuit.  If you live in Hong Kong, please watch it and support Hong Kong film.  Those who don't live in Hong Kong I hope you will be able to watch it in your area later...!
